John Shearman shares a new technology that can track the influx of new cannabis strains. These new strains are highly variable with potentially significant chemical changes between batches and lots. There are subtle changes in the chemical expression of various strains by genetic structure or environmental conditions. These changes have significant clinical effects on the patients using this treatment option.
With so many strains available, and with relatively limited information on strain composition or genetic lineage, producers and their patients have had little ability to control what the been taking over time.
It begs the question, how can producers track all these strains?
